Domain Name Registration Turnaround Time
"How long does it take to register my domain name with Internic?"Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been registered it usually takes from 12 to 72 hours before it is active.
If you have a domain name already registered that you want changed to point to your web site, you will need to contact the Registrar where you originally registered the name and provide them with our Name Server information. If you registered your domain name through RapidSystem, contact us about pointing the domain name. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. Once the DNS cache has expired the name will show up at the new location. This is called propagation.
