HTML FILEs - PATH INFORMATION
If you are using an FTP program to transfer web pages (HTML files) from your local computer to your web site, place them in your /var/www/html/ directory. The html directory is the directory that is displayed to the browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc.).
If you are using Microsoft FrontPage to publish your web site, you don't need to specify the path to the html directory because it is instructed to publish to this directory by the server.
Directory Structure of Plans 1-4:
/var/www/html/ = Web pages /var/www/cgi-local/ = CGI scripts /var/log/httpd/ = Web traffic log files /var/www/html/webalizer/ = Web traffic statistic program directory (do not delete or modify) /etc/webalizer/web/webalizer.conf = Webalizer configuration file /var/lib/majordomo/lists/ = Mailing List configuration files
